All of us fear failure to some degree.
For some it is merely an annoyance that can be simply distracting until we recognize it and can easily brush it aside.
For some of us the fear of failure paralyzes us to immobility. This is the fear that doesn't seem to brush aside that easily.
Most of our fears are based on looking at present circumstances, past and sometimes present hurts/ failures. This is not a good place to hang out. Looking at these things will defeat us every time.
Fear, shame and guilt are from Satan. The next time Satan reminds you of your past, remind him of his future. Satan will have a foothold in your life with unconfessed sin. Sins can be omission and commission. This means that when we willfully hurt someone else that is commission. But when we cannot forgive someone for hurting us that is omission. Don't let sin keep you a prisoner of fear. Confess it to the Lord, make it right before man, and sin loses all it's power (fear)
Romans 6:
12Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

After doing these things we need to hold our thoughts captive (2 Cor. 10:5) and not let them run away from us. This will require practice, including success and failures. For me this basically means when negative thoughts that come in that are contrary to scriptures, or have potential to steer my attention, In the name of Jesus I have to rebuke Satan from tempting me, and ask God to fill me His joy, peace, confidence.
